Concealed Cell Tower Palms

Our Process

image of men building an artificial palm tree cell towerWe have always been an innovator in developing the most realistic and functional camouflage solutions. Our commitment to research and development enables us to create the most cost effective environments while maintaining our standards for the highest quality. Our Camouflage’s professionals, artists and technical staff members self-perform the design and fabrication of sensitive antenna site concealment products. We also have technicians who can assist the contractor on site as needed to ensure an aesthetic, quality installation.

Every member of our team takes pride in ensuring that every product is designed to be aesthetically pleasing and durable.

Bark Textures

image of men workng on the trunk of an artificial palm treeOur process utilizing a seamless epoxy composite can replicate virtually any texture. By controlling the sophisticated installation of our bark, we ensure proper adhesion to the pole surface, eliminating unsightly seams. Our artisans then finish the bark with appropriate painting and highlighting, creating a very naturalistic look.

Our Quality

image of a fake palm tree branchWe test all of our products on an ongoing basis to ensure that they meet the highest standards of strength, durability, colorfastness, and RF-transparency. Products are wind-tunnel tested at Texas A&M to withstand winds up to 140 mph. In addition, based on our field and laboratory testing, the artificial foliage and bark can withstand temperature extremes from -50 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. image of a quill in holder

Mono-Pine

image of a fake Palm Cell Tower We created the first Mono-Pine camouflaged cellular tower in 1992 launching the concealed tower industry. Ever since, we have been the leading the industry with new and improved designs and products. With unique features like our antenna branches and matching antenna “socks”, the antennas installed on the trees pictured left and bottom right below (each has 9 antennas and other equipment installed) are virtually invisible.

While it is important for the antennas to be “invisible” to people, it is just as important for the branches be “invisible” to the RF signal. That’s why we use only RF friendly materials to fabricate its branches resulting in extremely low insertion and return loss properties that are needed for today’s wireless networks to function at peak performance.

Mono-Palm

image of a fake Palm Cell Tower We produce both Date Palms and Fan Palms for cell tower concealment. Durability and realism guide all of our production processes. Using highly resilient urethanes, polyethelenes, and fiber-reinforced polyesters, both our Date and Fan Palm Fronds can be positioned directly in front of antennas without causing havoc-inducing signal reflection. Our products meet EIA-222 standards and have been wind tunnel tested to 140 MPH.

The Mono-Palm “trunks” are clad with a proprietary and seamless bark texture that expands and contracts with the tower. Several natural bark textures are available, each molded from a real palm tree.image of a fake Palm Cell Tower

We offer truly “co-locatable” palm trees with four or more antenna levels. Co-location options include “functional pineapples”, in-trunk concealment, and a highly flexible “dead frond skirt” which can be retrofitted onto existing structures or supplied with new mono-palms.

Additional Options Available

Decorative cut-frond pineapple. The functional "pineapple" can completely conceal two antenna arrays.

Large RF-friendly palm skirt. The palm skirt is fully customizable to any diameter or length and allows for 3 or 4 carrier palm trees

Saguaros

image of a artificial cell tower cactus The need for concealed sites is also prevalent in the desert southwest region. To serve this need we have developed a Saguaro Cactus. Utilizing an RF-friendly, naturalistic looking FRP shell, we are able to position antenna panels not only in the hollow shell of the upper main trunk, but also in the individual arms. This offers greater flexibility in terms of multiple panels per sector, horizontal separation, and centerline height.

Our Saguaros range from 10-40 feet tall, housing one to two antenna arrays. Scars, woodpecker holes and thousands of painted needles enhance the realism. Even the birds can’t tell the difference!

Mono-Elm

image of a fake Palm Cell Tower We have used its knowledge and experience in designing pine trees to create broad-leaf elm trees of varying heights, including a Mini-Elm that can be used as a hedge. Similar to the Mono-Pine trees, the Mono-Elm branch densities range from 2 to 3 branches per linear foot.

Our curved antenna branches conceal antenna panels, mounting hardware and the coax while providing naturalistic, RF-friendly cell tower concealment. As with the Mono-Pines, various bark texturing and painting are available to enhance the aesthetics of the Mono-Elms. Our antenna socks can be customized to match the broad-leaf foliage
